From the days we used to sit in lawn chairs in the end zone at the old Bolig to Friday night in Hershey, thanks to all the Seals over the years who have provided us with all the thrills that resulted in that golden trophy.
Quite simply - you are the best high school football team we have ever seen.

Way To Go Seals. After living in Selinsgrove for 30 years and also serving as President of the Football Booster Club back in the late 80s early 90s, the Selinsgrove School Board, helping Al Thilo and Jim Taylor broadcast the Seals and a strong supporter of Selinsgrove Athletics in general, I am so proud of the Seals Football team.
Living in West Chester I had to listen to how good ArchBishop Wood was and that win along with a State Championship has just made my Christmas.

Webmaster, After last night's "over and beyond the call of duty" state championship SEAL victory at Hershey Stadium, I'm so "punchy" and tuckered that I hope I can adequately convey my thoughts and feelings. So here goes, those 2009 state champs took that game through sheer determination and teamwork at its best. No sprains, broken bones, concussions, cuts, bruises, pneumonmia. flu or even "jersey mishaps" could ever deter those mighty Seals. As in football, "life" throws us adverse "curveballs" that slow us down for a bit, but never completely stop us. That same "take the bull by the horns" approach to life was strongly shown by those Seals last night. Football is truly a metaphor for life and those Seals have mastered that life philosopy as "mere" teenagers extremely well. That's amazing. Their magnicant resolve will take them far in life. On a personal note, I have thoroughly enjoyed musical performances at Hershey Stadtium (The Stones, The Police, The Boss, etc.).However, nothing compares to witnessing the Seals winning the state championship last night. I ate some Hershey's chocolate afterward. It was yummy. It was defimitely a paramount feeling. I thank Coach Hess and his superb staff, the band, the cheerleaders, this thorough and informative website, many others I'm certain, and that ultimate team, the Seals for a great football season. One question. what happens next Friday? Oh yea, it's Christmas, but Christmas was one week early this year. A tired, but happy fan, As always Go Seals

Congratulations! You men demonstrated the qualities of not only a championship team, but those which will make you outstanding citizens: passion, hard work, dedication, perseverence, commitment, team work, compassion, and selflessness. With your efforts, you certainly are our heroes and deserving of all the recognition you get. You united the community and made the Susquehanna Valley proud. With what you've done here and now and the potential you've demonstrated, we can't wait to see what you become in the future.

Way to go Seals!!! I've been going to games since I was a little kid even though I went to Middleburg/Midd-West. I've seen all the ups and downs thru the years and the heartache of losing just short of that state title game. Friday night made it all worth it for sure. Thanks for all the memories 2009 Selinsgrove Seals. Can't wait to start the title defense in 2010!!!!!!

Wow. What a season! 16 games....16 wins. What a rollercoaster thrill of a ride! From the very first kickoff of the very first game against Mount Carmel, the team left no doubt. I knew after the last game of last year the 2009 football team would be a team to be reckoned with. This group proved they were something special. They are truly a talented, hard working and dedicated group of kids. The memories of this year will be etched in my memory for a long long time. This team busted their butts and worked so hard this year and it paid off in the end. I am proud to be a Selinsgrove graduate and proud to say I was on the sidelines when the Seals 2009 football team won the AAA State Title. Congratulations go out to the Seniors who left it all on the line this year. Best of luck in all your future endeavors! To the Juniors and Sophomores...work hard and never give up! We will be back in the stands rooting for you in 2010!!!
Go Seals!!!

Congratulations SEALS! That had to be one of the best games I've ever witnessed. Both teams were represented very well. The game lived up to all the hype. And just as it should have been, the game came down to the very end. I am so proud to be a grad and lifetime resident of Selinsgrove. You put District 4 on the football map. Can't wait till next year!.

Way to go Seals!!! I am so proud of you. I am a Seal alumni from 1966 and am living in South Carolina for the last 5 years. I keep telling them about our tough PA football up north and how they couldn't stay with us on a football field. You proved it on Friday night. Congratulations to a great Season

Watched this game from Arizona were they just don't understand what tradition and dedication is all about. I have been trying for 25 years to teach people in Arizona as a teacher and coach these very principles. As a proud SEALS Alum(79) who played with Hess and Schuck and others with men(players) on this team I can see how the tradition and dedication (PROUD SMASH MOUTH FOOTBALL)continues for this great program. Great job players, coaches 12 man, fans, booster club and the town of Selinsgrove that support the school and it's programs. It's been 30 years since we first beat Shik and got the parade through town on the fire trucks I remember it like it was yesterday. This will stay with you for a life time and you deserve the rewards. GREAT JOB

Congratulations to an amazing team! I enjoyed watching every minute of the championship! It was a great game! The best moments for me were watching the players react to their victory and watching the pride of the Seals fans in the stadium. The combination of hard work, skill, great coaching, and -most of all- the wonderful personalities of the players who work so well together, has made the Seals invincible. Be proud-you've made Selisngrove history - a time you will never forget. (and I will never forget!)

Congratulations on a job well done Seals. You fought for it and brought it home. You left no doubt. Was not able to attend the game due to just having gotten out of the hospital on Thursday. Watched it on line since I could not get it on TV. Glad I was able to find it and watch. Very exciting. Watched the parade on Saturday. What pride I felt. You did Selinsgrove proud. Way to go guys.

Congratulations SEALS!! This was one of the most exciting and "heartpounding" games that I have ever watched but I had "NO DOUBT" that you would reach your goal of becoming state champions. I am a graduate of Middleburg but I am a "LOYAL" fan of Selinsgrove football!! Every one of you guys played your hearts out, and no injuries or illnesses would hold you back from making history in Chocolatetown to bring back the gold to Selinsgrove. Thanks again SEALS you "LEFT no DOUBT"! Can't wait until the 2010 title defense begins!!

Seals-excellent job and an even better adventure. This experience will go with you for the rest of your life. Whether you are a senior, junior or sophomore, you will remember these days and this quest. I have followed your hard work through the internet radio play by play, the website, and my dad. I was part of the 1977 team that beat shik for the first time in 'forever'. You bring back memories for all former 'Seals' players. Keep it up and enjoy the moment. Congrats, Chris Anderson #62, Class 1980
